Amazing 3D Painters and paintings

First thoughts on this photo?
1. There is an octopus; it's probably alive.
2. It looks like someone is about to eat it (look at those chopsticks!)

What if I tell you that this is actually a 3D painting?!

Super talented artist Keng Lye has painted this awesome 3D painting layer by layer through layers of resin!

Another artist who is similar in technique is Riusuke Fukahori.

Riusuke Fukahori also paints through layers of resin and is different to Keng Lye in the fact that Keng Lye likes to paint his creations so that there is a part of it poking out of the surface.

Shintaro Ohata has a very different approach to 3D painting than that of Keng Lye and Riusuke Fukahori.

3D Art

Shintaro Ohata first carves out a sculpture out of Styrofoam (which is extremely hard!!) and then paints over it using a clever scheme of colours and shades. There is also a background painting which is painted normally, but WOW look at those colours! It looks like a perfect 2D painting face on, but then you move around and realize it is a cleverly made 3D painting.

Unicorn?!

'Someday I'll be a unicorn'?
I think you're already there ;)

Its cool, he understands.

'It's ok bro. I understand.'
Awww this picture is so adorable. Dogs are considered to be 'Man's best friend' and this picture is perfect in displaying that saying. Dogs are always there trying to protect it's owner from harm and they are very forgiving. Perfect qualities right there.

Close enough xD

'Camouflage. Just because you cannot see them, it does not mean they cannot see you'
Haha! Has this ever happen to you when you were younger playing hide and seek? It happened to me all the time!
